Importing save to PSCX2 memory card. When you have formatted your new card or if you have already a card that you're using just open mymc-gui. Two windows will pop up and with the one in front select your memory card(Mcd001/2.ps2). Click on the second icon(import) or File=Import and select your save that you've downloaded from Gamefaq. That's all How to use PSV saves. After you download your save use the program called PSV Explorer(included in the attachment).Open the program, click on the first icon or File=Open PSV and select your PSV save. You'll find some files inside.Click on the third icon(all) or File=Export All Files=choose where to be extracted(for example on your desktop)and click ok.
Now we are going to use another program,PS2 Save Builder(also included in the package). Open the program, select all the files inside the folder that PSV Explorer created and drag-drop them into the PS2 Save Builder window. Now copy the name of the folder that PSV Explorer created and paste it to the Root/ID of PS2 Save Builder. Now click on the diskette icon or File=Save As and choose from Save as Type.max.psu.sps.xps or.cbs(because mymc supports only those formats). Hi chaps I was wondering if any of you have (or know where I can find) a game save file for GT4? I assume these are available to share as people are playing this game on PS3? Im going to pick it up this week as Im still loving the relatively new wheel and am keen to get stuck into some of the awesome tracks and cars in this game. I remember Adrian and MM discussing game saves and it would be great if I could use one thats progressed fairly far into the game. I just cant see myself finding enough time to unlock all the licenses and gain enough credits for to purchase many cars (I still want to play on my other current gen games, including GT5p!) Any help would be greatly appreciated! OK, I went the same way. Just downloaded one save from those links posted by Mickey and wow!
100% done, more than 200 cars (some in special versions), 2,500,000 Credits to spend, etc. Here is the link to download that file: Place that file on USB stick in those folders: PS3 EXPORT PSV than go to your PS2 game saves on your PS3, get into USB stick and copy it to your created PS2 memory card. Fire the game up and it should work straight away (change few thing in Options, like screen format (from 4:3 to 16:9 etc).
Hello, I am not very active in this forum, I have mostly have fixed any problems myself through finding tutorials or struggling myself. But I have a problem that I cannot fix or find workaround for: The Problem is the following: I am playing through Gran Turismo 4 for good old times' sake on my PS3 and decided to make some pictures of cars to share around to friends and such. In the game there is an option to transfer to USB Device after you have taken the photo, but the game won't recognize that there is a flash drive in there, tried both ports, tried different flash drives, did not work. I saved the photos to the memory card and transferred them to the USB with the basic Utility of the PS3 and when I checked on my Laptop, I saw that they are.PSV files and not photos.
I tried opening the files, but with no luck. So my question is, is there some kind of way of getting these photos or making the PS2 emulator recognizing that there is a flash drive connected to the PS3? Thank you for the quick replies, I have looked up what.PSV is and I have tried to extract files and there are 3(icon.sys, thumbnail and BESCES.), the biggest one is my photo I guess, but it has no extension and even if I change the extension to some type of image file, it doesn't work. Tried different tools, same result, either does not read them at all or just plain files with no extensions. The emulator idea is a good one I might try that. The console is CECH-2004A with 4.80 Ferrox Cobra 7.3(I think).
Files what You got are proper. 'Folder containing icon + metadata of this icon + save itself (have always ID the same as folder)' are form which You can find it on real PS2 Memory Card on real console. And Yes, Your image with car is that 'biggest file' without extension. But ps2mc have only 8MB, so Polypphony Digital (as any other devs) must make image as tiny as possible.
They don't store images in full formats which we known today. They used raw data + pallette, which is compressed by one of LZ variation. You must figure out Yourself how to read it or find app which do conversion for You (I believe I saw something like this). To backup purpose many sceners and 3rd party firms developed their own format.
Need for speed most wanted 2012 exe file free download. XPS is one of them and one of the worst (but for You it's sufficient). Valentino rossi font. Other are the best PSU and a little worst Sony PSV.ps2 is example of RAW (copy 1:1, also with ECC) Memory Card image. If You want use it on PC with PCSX, there is no sense of all this what You have done. PS3 using RAW Memory Card image, the same as emulator. Just copy.VM2 to PC and change it's extension.:P As I remember. Look for AIO PS2 v1.3 content list (I haven't this on current computer so I cannot check it myself), I remember such application and maybe You will find it there (it's a blind shot).
Ps2 Save Builder Download
Should be in save tools category. There was also for MGS3 but I cannot find it anywhere any longer. Oh, I and one more thing. You are using emulator which read mcimage from above path. But if You use new emulator designed for PS2 DRMed from PSS, it store memory card image per user (in different dir) and it's encrypted.
